The planned TPP or Trans-Pacific Partnership Desert Protest in Rancho Mirage took place and the NEWS was there.
The two-day protest started President’s Day as Obama hosted various Asian Leaders to the first-ever event on American soil to celebrate the TPP, among other glad-handing.
Arriving, the NEWS found the rumors that the Desert Protest numbers were into the thousands, despite the media blackout, to be true.
The turnout was due to social media among the older generation.
More arrived throughout the day in shifts by the busload.
The protest grew beyond the TPP to the policy the United States has had since I’ve been living – supporting a cruel dictator for profit.
Only one other media outlet beside the NEWS and Temecula Calendar showed up through the media blackout, and their filmed story was pulled from the site before the end of the first day.

The NEWS located the proverbial ‘protest joint’ in the haystack. 420
