Chalice is a well known event dedicated to all things art, music, and cannabis. On July 8th-10th, the event took place at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds in Victorville. The fairgrounds consisted of an enormous network of booths and vendors showcasing everything from the newest edibles, topicals, and non-smoking products, to the numerous flower and genetics companies who featured the latest and greatest of cannabis strains. The sheer number of extract artists who came to present their best works was also equally immense, with many terpy dabs being sampled by enthusiastic patients. Three additional buildings were able to accommodate even more amazing vendors and products. Indeed, the number of attendees is simply too long to list with over 200 entries competing for more then 50 awards.
It was a hot and dry weekend as event goers gathered together to explore the area. To help alleviate the effects of the scorching dry weather, the Chalice staff prepared several spots in which people can cool off in front of fan misters and rehydration stations were available for those who needed extra any extra water. Emergency services and local officers were also available to ensure the well-being of all event goers.
Visual art stages were set along the various locations in which many talented graffiti artists contributed their skills to the development of some amazing artworks. There was also an entire section of the fairgrounds dedicated to various glass-blowing talents and a lovely food-court for those in need of a snack.
As the day progressed, the heat began to settle, and the center stage comes alive as people gather around to enjoy the list of amazing musicians, to name just a few: Cake, Obie Trice, Machine Gun Kelly, Zach Deputy, Talib Kweli, and even an awesome performance by the Wu-tang Clan.
We’d like to say thank you all the members who came together for such a wonderful event. From the volunteers, staff, and vendors, to the performers, patrons, and local emergency services who came to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone.
